MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS AND THEIR USE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS AND THEIR USE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE

This is a unique opportunity for health professionals to learn about the growing science of medicinal mushrooms from one of the leading experts in the field, Martin Powell.
Mushrooms have been widely used and coveted for thousands of years in the East for their broad and impressive effects on health and are now attracting increasing interest among practitioners in the West as well.
In addition to their immunological activity and use in cancer support, mushrooms have been shown to have a wide range of other potentially important therapeutic properties in areas including: cardiovascular disease, auto-immune conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, inflammation, infectious diseases, gut health, respiratory and skin conditions.
This seminar will cover therapeutic uses of mushrooms and their properties with emphasis on their application in common clinical conditions.

In addition, our guest speaker Caoimhe Mc Glinchey will be presenting clinical case studies on using medicinal mushrooms for infertility. She will be discussing complicated cases and how to best use mushroom therapeutics alongside conventional fertility treatments and fertility test results.

By the end of the seminar attendees will confidently be able to prescribe mushrooms to their clients. The MycoNutri mushroom range will be available to purchase on the day.

Martin Powell is a Chinese Medicine practitioner and biochemist. As well as writing and lecturing on medicinal mushrooms Martin went on to develop a range of clinically oriented mushroom-based nutritional supplements for his own patients and fellow practitioners which are available as MycoNutri.
